Laptop Guides – Best Budget Laptops

We’ve compiled a list of the best budget laptops currently in the market. Check them out below:

The Dell Mini 10v: Dell’s current line of Dell Mini 10 netbooks are more in the premium line of laptops with the “v” in the Dell Mini 10v there for “value”. As such it maintains the same chassis and many of the features of the pure Mini 10 lineup including a very comfortable to use keyboard and plenty of affordable configurations to choose from. With a starting price of $299 users are looking at an increase of $50 to $100 for a price of $350 and above for better features like a six-cell battery, a slightly faster Intel N280 processor and a larger hard disk drive. A below $350 Dell Mini 10v laptop can run at more than five hours on a single charge and do everything from Internet browsing to office work, giving users a very good laptop for their money.

The HP Mini 311: Price-wise the HP Mini 311 is a bit higher at below $500 but it does bring an 11.6 inch display and NVIDIA ION graphics chip-set into play. These components allow for basic gaming and smoother HD video. Again, the laptop is highly configurable you can pay a little bit less for the standard Intel Atom processor. Unfortunately HP isn’t making the HP Mini 311 any more but its new laptop offerings with an 11.6-inch display and an NVIDIA ION chip-set are just as competitively priced.

The Toshiba Satellite T135-S1310: For its price of $688.00 to $711.07 the dual-core thin-and-light CULV based Toshiba Satellite T135-S1310 offers better battery life along with better processing power while delivering a near business-class laptop look and feel. The 13.3-inch display form factor makes the laptop lightweight and comfortable to view while the dual-core CULV processor means the laptop can do almost everything including office work, Internet browsing and some multimedia. laptop guide The only limitation is the laptop’s older Intel 4500MHD based graphics that can handle HD movies up to a degree but probably won’t be able to handle the latest 3D games.

Asus K50IJ-RX05: With a starting price of $499 the ASUS K50IJ-RX05 is very well placed for the budget minded crowd especially since it doesn’t fall into the same category as a netbook. This dual-core powered laptop offers a 15.6-inch wide-screen display to go with a very good chassis and comfortable keyboard. By increasing the price to around $700 users can expect a better battery, larger hard disk drive and memory for a price vs. performance ratio nearly unmatched by any other laptop. Again its main limitation is its Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, so while you can do office work, browse the Internet, view multimedia and play some casual games it doesn’t handle full HD video or the latest 3D games very well.
